Purpose
Continuously determining water flow rate (l/s, m³/s) and volume (m³); remote flow control, passing the required amount of water
Operating principle
Ultrasonic sensors detect water velocity and level; the software calculates the flow rate, controls it and sends it to the server. The algorithm is based on the velocity-area method

Installation requirements
Smart Channel devices are universal — they can be installed at any water intake point (sensors measure water velocity and depth, with flow determined via the velocity-area method). Nevertheless, the following requirements apply:
- The device must be installed horizontally;
- When installed at canal water-intake points, it must be placed 1–2 m from the canal's side wall;
- The solar panel must receive at least 3–4 hours of sunlight per day;
- The cabinet housing the data storage/transmission system and battery must be installed in a dry place, protected from moisture.
