Continuously determining water flow rate (l/s, m³/s) and volume (m³); transmitting data to the server
Operating principle
Ultrasonic sensors detect the water level; the software calculates the flow rate, controls it and sends it to the server

Installation requirements
The Smart Parshall device determines water flow based on water level. It cannot be installed just anywhere. The following requirements apply during installation:
- The device must be installed horizontally;
- A constant head difference of Δh = 0.4–0.6 m must be maintained between the intake source and ditch water levels, with free-flow conditions;
- The downstream water level must not affect the upstream side (no backwater effect);
- When installed at canal water-intake points, it must be 1–2 m from the canal's side wall;
- The solar panel must receive at least 3–4 hours of sunlight per day;
- The data transmission system and battery cabinet must be installed in a dry place, protected from moisture.
